If you have installed Acrobat Reader Plugin into your Netscape Navigator you can view the .PDFs by just clicking this link otherwise, to download the PDF on Macintosh, hold down "option" key and click the link. A dialog will pop-up and allow you to download the file, where you want, to your hard drive.



Modifying Netscape for Macintosh to Recognize Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange


Issue
When selecting a Portable Document Format (PDF) file link on an Internet server, Netscape Navigator displays a prompt for downloading the PDF file instead of launching Acrobat Reader 2.0x or earlier or Acrobat Exchange 2.0 or earlier to display the PDF file in Netscape.

Solution
After successfully downloading Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange and installing the Netscape Plugin, Configure Netscape to use Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange as a helper application:
1. In Netscape, select "General Preferences..." from the Options menu.
2. In the "Preferences: General" dialog box, choose "Helpers".
3. Click the "New..." button.
4. In the "Mime Type:" edit field, enter "application" enter "pdf" in the " Subtype:" field.
5. Click "Browse...."
6. Locate and select the Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange application and click "Open."
7. In the "Extensions" field, enter "PDF".
8. Select "PDF" from the "File type:" popup menu.
9. Select the "Launch Application" option and click "OK."
10. Select "Save Options" from the Options menu.
